Shorts gone wrong!!

This is Allora's attempt of trying to take her shorts off....yes, I said shorts. LOL!! Enjoy!

The Day Dreamer!

Believe it or not...but, Riss was actually Day Dreaming in this picture. I was in the garage with my mom...we were just relaxing watching the girls play. I was taking pictures of Allora playing with the coupe car. Riss was sitting next to me just being quiet and relaxing too. My mom said "look at her"...I turned my head and saw this....I turned the camera to her, without her knowing it, and was able to snap this beautiful picture. I love it because it is so true, honest, sweet, pure, just plain Larissa. I love it so much and I hope you enjoy it......

Concord Races with Dad

My dad is awesome!! My parents came to visit with the girls and I, a week ago for about a week. We had an amazing visit with lots of playtime with the girls. Once the visit was over, they headed to Concord, NC for the Nascar races two weekends in a row. I had the plessure of going to the race 16th with dad. We had a blast and really enjoyed the race together. My mom was amazing too, she kept the girls the night of the race in the motor coach so dad and I could go. The girls were really good for my mom and everything went well. I went to the race again this past weekend butttttttttttttt it was rained out :((( and rescheduled for Monday but we needed to head home. The girls and I still had a blast being able to visit with my folks for one more weekend. Hugs to you mom and dad!!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Saturday the girls and I had fun in the sun with our neighbor Logan (4). We played in the backyard for over 3 hours. The kids played in the pool, played with water colors, and played on our swing set. The kids had so much fun while I just sat back and read a book. I made the kids a picnic and they ate everything I gave them then headed straight back to the pool.

Sunday, we enjoyed a wonderful church service then headed to McDonald's for the best Mother's Day lunch ever:) Once we grabbed our McDonald's we headed to a local park to have a picnic and have some fun. We played for about 45 minutes when they girls started getting a little fussy (it was 1:30). We packed up and headed home so some "nap". I am not joking when I say this, they slept from 1:45 - 5:30. I kept them so busy this week...hey were wiped out by today. They wanted waffles and apples for dinner...so, that is what I made them. After dinner we headed back outside until 7:30 to play in the pool and ride the bikes. Overall, it was a great Mother's Day. No meltdowns, no tantrums, no fits, life was good. They both got up 7 and 7:30 this morning and Riss got Lora out of bed and they played quietly until finally waking me up at 8:30 am. I can't believe they let me sleep without even fighting. Happy Mother's Day!!!

Painting Gone Wrong

Friday the girls and I had a crazy busy day. We left the house a 7:15 am didn't get home until 4:45pm. I am was exhaused by the time I walked the door. The girls we so over tired that they we both extremelly fussy and clingy. It was too close to dinner for a nap and too early for bedtime, we have all be there right!?? So I decided to roll this poster board paper on the kitchen table and let the girls color with markers and crayons while I made our pizza. So I got everything ready and they started freaking out....they wanted to paint, not draw. So I said sure, we have plenty of paint, why not? So they started out sponge painting with these little sponge shapes I have for them. Well, once the paint touch their fingers they decided to finger paint instead. I am so pooped by this point to even stop them, so I let them go. You all know me and how hard that was for me to just let them finger paint. Well, Allora decided to paint her face. It was cute so I just sat back and watched. I look at Riss and said, don't even think about it". I turned back to Lora and just laughed at her sweet painted little face. As Shana would say, "never laugh if you don't want them to do it again". Well, we all know it was SUPER CUTE. I looked at Riss and she was ahead of me, yes, her face was painted. I just cringed.......Riss decided to suck her fingers. Yuck, I know. She starting spitting and begging for water. I mistakenly gave her a cup of water. I turned my back and she did it, yes, she poured the whole cup of water all over the painted and wet table. Now, they girls are rubbing the ripping this wilted paper all over the place. The whole event took 30 minutes but clean up took me 45 minutes. Who says mommys don't work hard labor?! Hugs!! Hope you enjoyed!!

Larissa- The Hair Stylist

Larissa cut her own hair........

Okay, so we all know that I am no a morning person at all?!?! Well, Riss has been getting up around 6 am evey morning for a few days now and ya, that is not my wake-up time. So I get up around 7am and put a show on for her and she lays on the couch and grabs a blanket and rests for a while longer. I go back to grab a little more rest and all is well right??................Ah, NO, wrong. Riss came in around 8 and was ready for some breakfast. I said lets go make some waffles. So we go get Lora from her crib and head to the kitchen. They both sit down and start their breakfast. I head to the bathroom to freshen up for the day. I walk into my bathroom and I see it.......I see a two inch "Larissa" curl on the floor. I am not panicing YET!!!!!!!! I pick it up and walk to the sick. I sick has more "Larissa" hair in it. I start to SCREAM. I then see it.........it is all over the bathroom floor, all over the toliet, all over my rugs, etc. I am reeaking out my now. I am screaming "OH MY GOSH" "RISS, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE". She comes running in saying, "what mommy, what is wrong". I said Riss "what did you do"? She said, "what mommy". I looked at her face and saw it......I said why did you cut your hair? She said, "mommy, I just wanted to be beautiful like you". I wanted my hair cut. I know what you are all thinking......NO, it was not that bad. She cut part of her bangs short but left a layer a little longer. She also cut one side, a full layer, framing her face. I took her to get it fixed yesteday and we just got it layered up really good and it doesn't look much noticeable. Well, there is the Hudson Advenue for yesterday. Hope you all enjoyed!!! THAT'S ALL FOLKS. Hugs!!!!!!!

The Not-SO-Funny Things 3 yr olds say......

Ok, so Riss and I were having a disagreement the other day about the shoes she wanted to wear outside. I really don't care which ones she wears as long as they are not church shoes. Well guess what??? She wanted to where the church shoes. "They will make me pretty momma", she says. We are going back and forth...."No, you can't where the shoes". "Yes, I can" "No, Riss you are not wearing those shoes out in the dirt hill at Logan's house". "Yes, I am momma". "Riss, I am your mother and I am telling you NO". Riss comes back and says: " I am Rissa and I am saying YES". I turned my head and just smiled. She is so her mothers daughter. Needless to say...she didn't wear the shoes outside but we did agree on a pair that she could where. Life is so fun when you have a three year old around. :)
